Junaid Safdar, son of Maryam Nawaz and Captain Muhammad Safdar, tied the knot with Ayesha Saif Khan, daughter of ex-NAB Chairman Saif Ur Rehman Khan who has been a long-time ally of PML(N) supremo, Nawaz Sharif.
The wedding took place in London’s Hyde Park at The Lanesborough, a five-star hotel, on Sunday 22nd August and fans have been frantic to see the wedding pictures and get all the wedding details.
Photographer Zehra Jagani posted a picture of the couple during their Nikkah signing ceremony, listing down further details of the bride’s attire in her caption.
The lehenga adorned by Ayesha, the bride, was by renowned Indian designer, Sabyasachi, and her makeup was done by one of London’s most famous makeup artists, Nikki, who is also the Creative Director of Artistry at Kat Von D beauty, while the décor and event designing of Lanesborough was done by Tony Marklew, a prestigious event decorator.

Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, and their daughters were all unable to attend the wedding, due to being on the ECL list, and had to witness Junaid’s Nikkah via video call. Maryam Nawaz had tweeted regarding this matter when she posted the invite to her son’s wedding on Twitter, stating that she would not request the government to allow her to go for the wedding.
The wedding was filled with close friends and family; Ishaq Dar and his son Ali Dar, Hassan Nawaz, of course, the father of the bride, ex-NAB chairman Saif Ur Rehman and Shahbaz Sharif’s son Suleman Sharif and his wife were all in attendance, along with many more.
Adding more drama to the event, groups of both PTI and PML(N) supporters gathered outside the wedding location; several fights and arguments broke out, some even physical. While PML(N) supporters were there to celebrate their leader’s grandson’s wedding, PTI supporters chanted slogans and held up boards regarding how the wedding’s cost had come out of the Pakistani citizens’ pockets.
Maryam Nawaz also posted three pictures of the couple, wishing them the best of luck and happiness.
