Pak-Aus T20, ODI series in November

Six venues to witness the series

The Pakistan cricket team will tour Australia in November for a three-match T20 and an equal number of one-day matches, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday.

In a press statement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disclosed that the tour, heralding Australia’s white-ball campaign for the summer of 2024-25, will feature a total of six exhilarating encounters.

The series will be played across six prestigious venues from November 4 to 18.

“After nearly a year’s hiatus, Pakistan will grace Australian grounds once more, following their spirited participation in the Benaud-Qadir Trophy, where they engaged in a thrilling bout across three Test matches held in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne in December 2023-January 2024,” affirmed the PCB.

The action-packed ODI leg is primed to commence on November 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, before traversing to Adelaide and Perth on November 8 and 10, respectively. Notably, Pakistan’s previous ODI series on Australian soil dates back to 2016, with the home side clinching victory.

Subsequently, the spotlight will shift to the T20Is, where Pakistan and Australia are poised for an electrifying face-off. Pakistan’s last T20I rendezvous on Australian territory harks back to 2022, wherein the ‘men in green’ graced the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

“The T20I series will kick off at The Gabba in Brisbane, followed by an enthralling showdown at the Sydney Cricket Ground, a venue where Pakistan triumphed over New Zealand in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final. The tour will culminate in Hobart, where the final T20I showdown is slated for November 18,” elucidated the PCB.
