Pakistan has one of the most highest percentage of Women Peacekeepers in the world

Pakistan initially sent the first-ever 15-strong female engagement team (FET) included psychologists, logistics officers, medical officers, information officers and other workers to perform duties in the United Nations peacekeeping mission.

IN January 2020, this team received recognition for serving in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Over 450 women peacekeepers from Pakistan have served in UN missions.

Later in February 2020, 17 more women peacekeepers joined in. So far, over 450 women peacekeepers from Pakistan have served in UN missions.

The main role of these peacekeepers is to provide services for problems that affect women & children directly during war: counselling for sexual violence / abuse; vocational training so women can learn first aid, computer skills, and other skills to increase their standing in the community.

They also establish medical camps to help women and children whose medical and psychological needs are often overlooked during times of conflict.
