Cabinet to discuss 20-point Agenda Today

The Federal Cabinet will convene on Tuesday (July 27), with Prime Minister Imran Khan serving as the meeting’s chairman. They are expected to discuss the 20-point agenda, as well as other current events in the country.

The federal cabinet will be discussing the following points:

  • Regional political scenario
  • Emerging situation in Afghanistan
  • Covid situation
  • Political situation of Pakistan
  • Economic condition of Pakistan

The 2021 Policy of National Cyber Security will be submitted to federal cabinet members. The members of the meeting are expected to accept new restrictions in the Federal Investigation Agency’s crime agenda (FIA).

The cabinet will ratify the extradition to the UAE of two suspects, Naseem Ghauri and Ghulam Shabbir, as well as the National Advertising Policy 2021. It will be briefed on electronic voting devices and the process of awarding voting rights to Pakistanis living abroad.

Along with the instructions given in the Islamabad High Court’s writ petition No 244, a draught bill would be introduced at the meeting to put an end to superfluous business regulation. The import of four ambulances supplied by Japan, as well as the Bilateral Investment Treaty, will also be approved by the government.

The cabinet will also discuss dual citizenship with the Czech Republic, as well as the appointment of the managing director of the Korangi Fishing Harbor Authority, the reorganization of the board of governors of the Pakistan Agriculture Research Council, and the appointment of four members of the board of governors of the Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP).

Pakistan and China have agreed to improve the security of Chinese people working on various projects in Pakistan due to an uptick in violence in Afghanistan. This decision was made because India may attempt to destabilize Pakistan by exploiting the existing situation. The present situation in Afghanistan will be discussed along with the initiatives the US plans to take to halt Taliban advances.
