According to the Capital Development Authority CDA, their teams are working towards clearing the roads.

There are different videos circulating in the digital media that are showing floods in different sectors of Islamabad. Cars can be seen floating in those videos.

Strong monsoon currents have entered the higher portions of the country and are expected to continue this week.

What are Flash Floods?

Flash floods are triggered by a variety of factors, the most common of which being exceptionally high rainfall from thunderstorms. People are taken off guard by flash flooding because it happens so suddenly.

Their situation could become deadly if they encounter high, fast-moving water while traveling. If individuals are at home or work, the water could rise swiftly, trapping them or causing property damage before they can defend themselves.

What is a Cloudburst?

A cloudburst is rapid torrential precipitation that causes a flood in a localized place for a brief period. Just before the cloud bursts, warm air from the bottom of the atmosphere begins to rush upward, causing the vapors in the clouds to condense into water droplets.

This process is so fast that the cloud can no longer support the weight of newly created water and explodes, resulting in torrential rainfall.
