Khaaba by Nauman Maqsood is Islamabad’s latest muse. In Nauman’s own words, he fell in love with the typical Islamabad-style building and let his imagination go wild. The building is splashed with colors and the restaurant offers a wide variety of desi cuisine. The idea to create a restaurant in the middle of the city was the brainchild of Mr. Nauman while he battled his middle life crisis. He surely hopes that it turns out into something with the capacity to grow into a chain.
The star-studded opening and the extravagance of colors have surely gained attraction. We do hope that luck is in favor and Khaaba makes it to the top places to go to in Islamabad, however, Islamabad’s desi cuisine market is not very saturated with brands like Monal and Tandoori Inn which mainly dominate the environment.
