PDM Summoned A Meeting Today To Discuss Its Long-March Towards Islamabad

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), has arrived today (24 December) in Karachi for a leadership meeting.

According to reports, JUI-F leader Fazlur Rehman would attend the PDM Sindh chapter leadership meeting, which will be held at Shah Owais Noorani’s mansion.

Maulana Rashid Soomro, who is also the multi-party alliance’s provincial convener, would preside over the PDM meeting.

Furthermore, the meeting will also be attended by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) along with the leadership of other opposition parties. Moreover, the meeting has been held to discuss the situation regarding Islamabad’s long march. 

On March 23, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a multi-party opposition group, declared that it will begin a long march towards Islamabad.

The date was announced by JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is also the head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement, while updating the media on the outcomes of an hours-long meeting held in Islamabad on Dec. 6.

The JUI-F chief, flanked by other opposition leaders, said that the PDM’s ‘Mehangai’ (inflation) march against the existing government would begin on March 23. He also stated that PDM sessions would be held at the provincial level prior to the start of the long march.
