Two terrorists killed in Chitral IBO

IBO conducted near Pak-Afghan border

The security forces have killed two terrorists during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in area of Ursoon near Pakistan -Afghanistan border, Chitral District.

During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between our troops and terrorists, resultantly two terrorists were sent to hell, while four terrorists got seriously injured, said a news release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

It said sanitisation of the surrounding areas was being carried out to neutralize any other terrorist found in the area.

The locals of the area appreciated the operation by Security forces of Pakistan, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Meanwhile, funeral prayer of General Sawar Khan (Retired), former Vice Chief of Army Staff was offered at Army Graveyard Rawalpindi.

General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and large number of civil and military officials including senior retired Army officers and relatives of deceased attended the funeral.
