Faisal Hasnain Has Been Appointed As The New CEO Of PCB

Faisal Hasnain has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the resignation of Wasim Khan. Furthermore, Faisal is the former managing director of Zimbabwe cricket. 

Faisal is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the United Kingdom who has a professional career spanning over 35 years in high-profile finance and sports administration roles with some of the world’s leading blue-chip organizations. Moreover, this includes his role as the Chief Financial Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Wasim Khan resigned from being the CEO of PCB in September due to differences with Ramiz Raja. 

Furthermore, the new CEO was welcomed by Ramiz Raja to Pakistan’s cricket family.

Ramiz Raja said, “Faisal is a familiar figure in world cricket and is highly regarded, respected, and trusted for his excellence in corporate governance, financial management, and commercial acumen. With the plans I have for the PCB, Faisal will be a perfect fit as he can utilize his vast experience and knowledge to help us achieve our commercial and financial objectives of making Pakistan cricket bigger and stronger.”

After being named CEO of the PCB, Faisal Hasnain expressed his gratitude, saying that he is honored to be given a “once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Faisal said, “I feel honored and privileged to have been awarded this once in a lifetime opportunity to serve Pakistan cricket and thank the PCB Chairman and the Board of Governors for having the confidence in my capabilities.”

The new CEO went on to say that he is determined to do his share to meet the high expectations of Pakistani cricket fans.

Moreover, he added, “I am fully committed to playing my part in delivering the PCB Chairman’s vision for Pakistan cricket, fulfilling the expectations and dreams of millions of passionate Pakistan cricket fans and strengthening the relationships with our existing commercial partners, the ICC, and other cricket boards and developing new partnerships as we move forward.”
