In 24 Hours, KP Reported 111 New Dengue Fever Cases

On Wednesday (17 November), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 111 new instances of mosquito-borne dengue illness in the previous 24 hours. 

According to a report released by the KP Directorate General Health Services, nine people have died in the province as a result of dengue illness.

Furthermore, the province has reported 9,603 dengue hemorrhagic fever cases, bringing the total number of viral disease cases in Peshawar to 4,984.

According to the health department in Peshawar, 85 new cases of dengue fever have been registered in the last 24 hours. Officials claimed that 78 people have been diagnosed with dengue fever and are being treated in hospitals.

Eight cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever have been reported in the province’s Khyber area.

Dengue in Islamabad 

In the previous 24 hours, 40 new dengue fever cases have been registered in Islamabad, according to the district health officer (DHO).

So far this season in Islamabad, 19 individuals have died from the mosquito-borne sickness. In the federal capital, a total of 4,404 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever had been documented.

According to Punjab health officials, the number of dengue infections has begun to decline, despite the province reporting 103 new instances of the mosquito-borne viral sickness on Monday.

According to Punjab’s secretary of basic and secondary health, the province has reported 21,507 dengue cases, with 15,732 of those reported in Lahore alone. Furthermore, 93 people have died as a result of the viral illness.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that is common in warm, tropical settings and generally peaks during rainy seasons.

The virus takes four to ten days to affect the body after being bitten by a dengue-infected mosquito. Its symptoms can range from minor to severe, including fever, headaches, pain behind the eyes, and nausea.
