Malala Yousafzai Ties The Knot In A Small Ceremony

Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel Laureate, and an education champion got married in Birmingham in a simple ceremony on 9th November (Tuesday), which she described as a “special” day in her life.


Malala posted on her Twitter account and said, “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”


In images released by the Nobel laureate on her official Twitter account, the education champion and her husband, Asser Malik, appeared to be having a good time.


Malik is the Pakistan Cricket Board’s general manager of high performance (PCB). He joined the company in May 2020.
Malik previously served as an operations manager for the Multan Sultans of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In 2012, he graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science.


Malala and her husband, after the nikkah, posted pictures of their ceremony on social media. She can be seen alongside her husband; Furthermore, her parents are also in the pictures, Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai.


Malala wore a melon-pink gown with gold embroidery for her big day. Her Nikkah photos were taken by Malin Fezehai, a photographer and visual journalist who is a friend of hers.

PPP leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari congratulated Malala and wished the newlywed pair all the happiness in the world. she said, “May you be blessed at every turn on your trip. Sending you love and duas.”
