Imran Khan Reaffirms Saudi Crown Prince In Safeguarding Riyadh’s Territorial Integrity

On the side-lines of the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Summit in Riyadh, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

PM Imran Khan underlined Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity during the meeting.

He stated that if Saudi Arabia is threatened with a security danger, Pakistan will support the Kingdom. The prime minister praised King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his role in the Kingdom’s success and development.

He praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, which aimed to improve the Kingdom’s socio-economic development in the twenty-first century.

The PM congratulated the crown prince on the successful organization of the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Summit on climate change, saying it underlined the Saudi leadership’s willingness to take concrete efforts to properly address the challenges of climate change.

The Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative, according to the prime minister, are closely connected with Pakistan’s climate change programs, ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ and the ‘Ten Billion Tree Tsunami.’

Ties of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s close ties with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance Pakistan has on its strategic ties with the country.

Furthermore, he said, “We are bound to the Kingdom because of the two holy mosques.” Second, Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan in the face of adversity.”

Moreover, Imran Khan praised the crowned prince and said, “I have been coming to Saudi Arabia for 30 years and I have seen a change under the dynamic leadership of the crown prince. I have seen the difference because he is someone who has a passion for change, and I see that.”

He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its unwavering support for Pakistan at all times of crisis. The two leaders agreed to continue to deepen bilateral cooperation in all areas.
