Sunday: The trailer for the highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home gets leaked on to the web, and Sony, like flash gets on this case and reports to remove every emerging link to the unofficial trailer.
These links had kept appearing one after the other, on numerous accounts and were taken down with a copyright statement plastered on the videos which read, “The media has been disabled in response to a report from the copyright owner.”
However, Sony itself did not reply to this incidence instantaneously but Tom Holland did put up a story on his Instagram, possibly referring to this news of the leak with the statement “You Ain’t Ready!”
The very next day on Monday the official trailer premiered at CinemaCon with statements from the Sony CEO and Chairman Tom Rothman, who said, “All things come to those who wait, and in this case, it’s the real thing, the genuine article.”
The movie’s verified account also wrote a sassy tweet, stating “shout-out to the real ones who are watching the trailer for the first time right now.” adding to the interest that they had already captured online on Sunday when it went viral.
Reportedly, and in speculation to the trailer, the film is packed with action and cameos from celebrated actors of the heroic universe. The movie decidedly casts Tom Holland as ‘Peter Parker’ and Benedict Cumberbatch as ‘Doctor Strange’, with a new villainous addition of Alfred Molina who will be replaying his role of ‘Doctor Octopus’ from the 2004 release of ‘Spider-Man 2’. Moreover, preceding Spiderman’s, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, are also theorized to make an appearance in this explosive third installment, but nothing has been officially released regarding this twist.
Fans and superhero enthusiasts have also already started comparing and debating the DC and Marvel releases on ‘The Batman’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ on all social media sites, the battle between the creators of heroes is aflame again.
