On 11 July 2021, A 29-year-old fashion model, Nayab Nadeem was found murdered at her house in defense phase V Lahore. Nayab Nadeem was a model by profession, who lived alone in the house and was not married.
According to the reports, Nayab had been strangulated to death after maltreatment. The victim’s body was found lying on the floor unclothed containing scars on her neck. The case was registered against two stepbrothers of the fashion model.
According to the official investigation, Nayab’s stepbrother Aslam has admitted to killing his stepsister, and also the evidence that had been collected from the crime scene confirmed his involvement in the murder case.
The fingerprint samples which had been taken from the door of the victim’s house matched with her stepbrother Aslam. It also shows that he was the one who had been at her home that day.
According to the police, The stepbrother of the fashion model confessed that first, he strangulated her to death then unclothed the victim’s dead body to deceive the police and to portray that it was a rape and murder case.
The murderer had escaped from the backside of the house and also took the victim’s mobile phone with him. After examining the victim’s phone details, her close friends have been also a part of the investigation.
Recently, the fashion model had returned to Lahore from Dubai. After the postmortem, the victim’s body had been returned to her relatives.
Last week, a mother of three children was shot by her brother for honor in Lahore.
According to the police statistics, more than 6,277 cases of honor killings were reported in Punjab from 2011 to 2020.
