Maryam Nawaz will not be attending her Son’s Nikah

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Shareef on Wednesday (11 August) posted on Twitter that her son, Junaid Safdar, will be tying the knot later this month with the daughter of Saif-ur-Rehman, former Head of Ehtesab Bureau in London.

Maryam Nawaz posted the invitation card on Twitter and revealed that she will not be able to attend the Nikah ceremony as her name has been on ECL (Exit Control List).

Maryam Nawaz tweeted, “My son, Junaid’s Nikah with Ayesha Saif-ur-Rehman will take place in London on 22nd August Inshallah. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the ceremony owing to blatant victimization and bogus cases and my name on ECL.”

In a second tweet, Maryam Nawaz expressed her regret for not being able to share her son’s joy. She also mentioned being in jail when her mother, Kalsoom Nawaz, died of cancer.

Maryam Nawaz also added in her tweet that she will not ask the government to take her name off of the ECL.

She tweeted that, “I was in jail when my beloved mother passed away and now, I won’t be able to share my son’s happiness, but I will NOT make any request to this government for travel abroad. I leave the matter to Almighty Allah.”

Most of the followers of Maryam Nawaz, while responding to her tweet told her to hold her son’s Nikah in Pakistan. The people of Twitter think Junaid Safdar is not on trial, so it is possible for him to come to Pakistan and hold his Nikah here. Some people even called Maryum out for manipulating everyone.
