At least 30 passengers were killed, and many others injured in Ghotki train accident earlier this morning.
The incident took place as Sargodha-bound Sir Syed Express train collided with a Millat Express between Reti and Daharki railway stations. According the some unofficial figures the count is at least 37 killed with another 70 injured.
Ghotki Deputy Commissioner Usman Abdullah informed that an emergency has been declared at hospitals in Ghotki, Dharki, Obaro and Mirpur Mathelo. Doctors and medical staff have been called on duty to provide medical aid to the injured passengers

Prime Minister expressed his grief and sorrow over the horrific train accident and ordered a comprehensive investigation into Railways safety fault lines.
Government representatives including Zulfi Bukhari, Shireen Mazari & Abdul Aleem Khan also expressed grief at the incident.
