Militants Attack A Military Checkpoint On The Pakistan-Iran Border, Killing A Soldier

In the early hours of Tuesday (14 December), militants attacked a security forces checkpoint near the Pakistan-Iran border in the Abdoi sector, Balochistan, killing a Pakistan Army soldier.

ISPR confirmed by saying, “During the heavy exchange of fire, Lance Naik Zaheer Ahmed r/o (resident of) Nushki embraced martyrdom fighting valiantly.”

The Pakistan Army inflicted losses on the militants, who fled the area, according to the military’s media wing.

ISPR released a statement and said, “Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to defeat such acts of inimical elements, aimed at disrupting peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan.”

Two Pakistan Army personnel were martyred last month during an operation to thwart terrorists funded from outside Pakistan.

The militants opened fire on a security checkpoint in Tump, Balochistan, according to the ISPR.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said that security forces used all available weapons and that the terrorists suffered “serious losses.”

During the conflict, however, two troops, sepoy Naseeb Ullah of Kharan and sepoy Insha Allah of Lakki Marwat, sacrificed their lives fighting heroically, according to the ISPR statement.
