Pakistanis Trapped In Category C Countries Are Allowed To Repatriate Under The NCOC

The National Command and Operation Centre has granted Pakistanis trapped in Category C countries the right to return to the country without restriction by December 31.

South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Poland, Ireland, Hungary, and Croatia are among the countries involved.

Travelers from these nations, on the other hand, will be required to follow certain health and testing requirements, including:

  • Vaccination certificate
  • Negative PCR report pre-boarding (maximum 48 hours old)
  • Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on arrival
  • Mandatory quarantine

According to NCOC, mandatory complete immunization for inbound travelers aged 15 to 18 years old has been extended until January 31, 2022, rather than December 1, 2021, because vaccination for those aged 15 to 18 years old has not yet begun in a few countries.

The decision was made a day after Pakistan confirmed the coronavirus’s first Omicron case.

Previously, the forum had prohibited inbound passengers from Category C nations, the majority of which were European. It went on to say that only ‘necessary’ travel from those nations would be permitted, subject to a special committee’s approval.
