At least 15 killed and many got injured as the Hazara Express was derailed near Sarhari Railway Station in Nawabshah, Sindh on Sunday.
According to the details, the Hazara Express was en route from Karachi to Rawalpindi when multiple bogies derailed, causing chaos and distress among the passengers.
Rescue teams and police officials swiftly rushed to the accident site to aid the victims.
Footages are making rounds on the social media networking sites showing overturned bogies, with a large crowd of passengers gathered nearby.


Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation, Khawaja Saad Rafique, confirmed that authorities were alerted to the incident.
He mentioned that initial reports indicated 15 fatalities and several injuries.
Rafique asserted that the train was traveling at a reasonable speed during the incident.
In response to the tragedy, an emergency was declared in hospitals at Sukkur and Nawabshah, where injured passengers were being transported for medical care.
Pakistan Railways officials told the scribed that an unknown number of bogies had derailed, leaving uncertainty about the exact scale of the disaster. Further updates on the casualties were yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, expressed profound grief over the lives lost in the tragic event. He issued directives to the Nawabshah deputy commissioner to ensure immediate medical assistance for the injured.
