Imran Khan sympathizes with those who quit PTI under ‘extreme pressure’

Those who stand firm get Imran Khan's appreciation

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed admiration for the senior leadership of his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for standing firm and resisting “extreme pressure” to leave the party.
He also commended those who have chosen to stay, while extending sympathies to those who have been compelled to leave due to pressure.
Talking to the media, Imran Khan specifically mentioned Aamer Mehmood Kiani, a PTI member who has decided to part ways with the party, stating that he was saddened by his departure and acknowledging Kiani’s significant contributions to the party’s endeavors.
The former premier noted that efforts to undermine and weaken the PTI have been ongoing for over a year. However, he asserted that these attempts have only served to strengthen the party’s resolve.
Imran Khan expressed his sympathies towards the departing members, acknowledging the difficult circumstances they have faced.
When asked about the possibility of welcoming them back to the party, he emphasized the immense pressure they have been subjected to and urged people not to criticize them.
He further stated that the level of pressure faced by these politicians was unprecedented in the country’s history.
Imran Khan expressed his dismay over a police operation that took place at his Zaman Park residence while he was absent. He revealed that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was alone at home when more than 40 policemen, accompanied by an armored personnel carrier, forcefully entered the house.
He said the police action was carried out because his wife was a trustee of the Al-Qadir case, emphasizing that such an incident had never occurred before.
The PTI chief clarified that his conflict did not specifically involve the Pakistan Democratic Movement, possibly referring to the military establishment.
Imran Khan expressed confusion over why they were angry with him.
He asserted that the actions being taken by the government, including the oppression of his party members, were unprecedented in the country’s history. He highlighted his concerns about the extraordinary measures being employed against his party and its members.
“I have not held talks with anyone. I have always said I am willing to hold negotiations with everyone, but talks can only be on elections,” he maintained.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has emphasized that holding free and fair elections was the only viable option for Pakistan, stating that any alternative would lead to the country’s destruction.
During a conversation with journalists at Zaman Park, he expressed his firm belief that elections were the sole means to overcome the current challenges faced by Pakistan.

Imran Khan called for an independent commission to investigate the May 9 riots, asserting that there was an organized conspiracy behind the events. He claimed that a thorough probe would unveil evidence of a planned scheme, including how individuals were instigated to carry out attacks.
The PTI Chairman vowed to continue his fight for true freedom, even if he was left alone.
He reassured his supporters, who have remained steadfast despite mounting pressure, that their loyalty would be remembered by the nation.
Imran Khan also raised concerns about his arrest, stating that it was part of a larger plan to eliminate him and ban the PTI.
He criticized the consequences of such actions, highlighting the negative impact on democracy, the public, and the institutions of the country.
