As regards the ongoing row between judiciary and executive, he said the country had been plunged into economic, political and constitutional crises and the election was the only way to steer the country out of these crises.
He said the Parliament with “weak people” was trying to take the apex court head-on, but in the end, it would be the Supreme Court which would emerge victorious in this ongoing tussle between judiciary and executive.
The decision regarding release of funds worth Rs21 billion for election in Punjab would soon be delivered, the former minister sounded confident about polls ought to be held in the two provinces within month.
He said the apex court decision would bury politics and narrative of the ruling alliance.
Rasheed said politics of the country was being driven by the youth which had been transformed as well had a power to make and break opinions in the country.
He said the parties to the ruling alliance had been entered into a blind alley and there was only way out for them and that was election.
