Marriyum refutes rumors about meeting of ruling alliance

All parties united

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday said all parties to the ruling alliance were “united” and there was no truth in the false reports about its meeting held earlier in the evening.
“Speculations being made in some section of media about the meeting of ruling parties are baseless and incorrect,” she said in a news statement.
The minister regretted that the media started publishing news by attributing to different political parties even prior to issuance of final communiqué.
She said decisions were being taken in light of the consideration of all parties which are united,” she remarked.
“Consultation is underway and the information minister would issue a joint communiqué [of the meeting], she added.
However, there were reports circulating in the social media that a few of parties had opined to hold elections in the country as the executive-judiciary row has been growing with each passing day especially on holding election in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
