Bilawal Bhutto constitutes committee to initiate political dialogue

Political, economic and constitutional crises continue to persist

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday constituted a three-member committee to engage allies in the coalition government to evolve a consensus on initiating dialogue with political parties.
The committee members included PPP’s senior leader Senator Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira, said a notification.
The decision to this effect was taken in the wake of ongoing political, economic and constitutional crises.
The PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has time and again made call for holding dialogues among the political parties to steer the country out of prevailing economic, political and constitutional crises.
The country is plunged into political and economic turmoil soon after the ouster of Imran Khan from power by the then opposition which moved a no-trust motion in the National Assembly.
Since then, Imran Khan opted to different political moves including en mass resignations of the PTI leaders of the National Assembly and dissolution of provincial assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI chief also held long marches and protests across the country in a bid to remove the incumbent government from the power. So far, dead lock is persisted among the government and opposition with no headway in sight.
However, political, legal and economic experts opined that the country may faced economic destruction if the situation is continued to persist.
