Saudi Arabia Has Changed COVID-19 Requirements For Umrah Travelers

Saudi Arabia’s COVID-19 guideline for Umrah has been amended, allowing pilgrims to perform Umrah as soon as they arrive if they are inoculated with vaccines recognized by the state.

According to a Gulf media report, Umrah pilgrims who have been vaccinated with a Saudi Arabia-approved vaccination will not be subjected to quarantine once they reach the country.

On Sunday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that the Ministry of Haj and Umrah had accepted the guidelines.

The Saudi Haj ministry outlined the rules for pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa from non-restricted nations.

Those who have been immunized with Saudi-approved vaccines can do Umrah immediately upon arrival, whereas those who have been immunized with WHO-approved vaccines must wait three days.

General Authority of Civil Aviation

The directives were sent by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to all airlines operating in the nation.

It verified that these procedures will go into effect at 01:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

According to GACA, all carriers should continue to educate passengers on the necessity of following all precautionary and preventive measures in place in Saudi Arabia.
