Occupied Kashmir Has Turned Into A Slaughterhouse

The Indian occupation forces have converted Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) into a “slaughterhouse,” according to Kashmiri politician Mushaal Mullick, who also said that young Kashmiris and Hurriyat leaders are being “murdered and tortured.”

Mushaal, the chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, decried the international community’s and human rights organizations’ criminal silence over the world’s worst state terrorism in the valley.

Mushaal, in a video message on Kashmir Black Day which was observed on both sides of the Line of Control, said “It was that unfortunate day when the Indian brutal forces invaded the valley some 74 years ago and started bloodbath of Kashmiri people for demanding their just and internationally admitted right of right to self-determination.”

Indian armies invaded and conquered Jammu and Kashmir on October 27, 1947, in direct defiance of the subcontinent’s partition plan and against Kashmiris’ wishes.

She said that the vast number of people who attended rallies in Kashmir, Pakistan, and other parts of the world spoke eloquently about Kashmiris’ devotion to their legitimate cause of “breaking the shackles of Indian servitude.”

Mushaal claimed that the Kashmiri people had once again exposed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindutva dictatorship to the world, claiming that the government had utilized all means possible to quiet the valley’s loud opposition voices.

Furthermore, she said that “Kashmiris also gave a strong message to the world that despite their apathy towards Kashmiris, they reject India’s illegal occupation of their homeland and will continue their struggle to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination till the last drop of their blood.”

Moreover, she said that the Indian government has not only denied Kashmiris their birthright but has also perpetrated war crimes. The international community and UN organizations have “appeared powerless” in enforcing their own resolutions on the Kashmir dispute for the past seven decades.

In addition, Mushaal said, “The occupation forces have turned the heaven-like valley into a hell, as they crossed all limits of barbarity and terrorism in the occupied valley.”

Mushaal asked the international community to reject “duplicity” and execute UNSC resolutions to resolve the Kashmir dispute so that Kashmiris can live free lives like the people in other parts of the world.
