The Nationwide Positive Ratio For Covid-19 Falls Below 2 %

On Wednesday (27 October), the nationwide tally of the Covid-19 pandemic revealed one of the lowest positivity ratios ever recorded, owing to a drop in per day positive cases, disease trend, and mortality rate.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) posted the newest disease numbers in a tweet on its Twitter handle.

In its fight against the pandemic, the country’s nerve center reported that 38,430 tests were conducted across the country, with 516 additional persons testing positive for the dangerous disease.

In various Covid devoted healthcare institutions around the country, 1,445 Covid infected patients were being treated in severe conditions.

During the previous 24 hours, the National Covid positive ratio was 1.34 percent.

What is the Covid positivity ratio?

The Covid positivity ratio is the proportion of true positive cases found in every 100 tests which identify infected people. On Wednesday, 13 afflicted people, including those receiving treatment in hospitals and in their separate quarantines or homes, died because of the deadly illness.

According to Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar Pakistan now has the lowest positivity ratio since the country began measuring COVID-19.

Asad Umar, who also runs the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), stated in a Twitter post that Pakistan presently has the lowest number of critical care patients and the lowest daily mortality rate in a year.

He emphasized that the impact of immunizations is a positive trend, but that the vaccination campaign must continue. Moreover, he wrote “Positive impact of vaccination showing but vaccination drive must continue. Globally 7,500 died of covid yesterday.”

Today (28 October) marks the 11th day in a row that Pakistan’s optimism rate fell below 2%. Apart from that, according to the NCOC’s daily statistics, the country has seen 516 new coronavirus infections and 13 deaths in the last 24 hours.

COVID- In Pakistan is on the decline, with 593 new cases reported on average each day. That is a tenth of what it was on June 17, when the greatest day average was registered. Since the outbreak began, the country has seen 1,270,322 illnesses and 28,405 coronavirus-related deaths.

So far, Pakistan has given out at least 100,741,762 doses of COVID vaccination. If each person requires two doses, that would be enough to vaccinate around 23.3 percent of the country’s population.
