Pakistan has reported a daily death toll from COVID-19 below ten for the first time in 2021, according to statistics released Monday (25 October) morning by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
According to NCOC’s most recent figures, nine more people have died from the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, bringing the total number of people who have died from the virus to 28,386.
According to NCOC, at least 698 new infections have been detected after 42,095 tests were taken across the country in the last 24 hours.
For more than a week, the country has mostly registered less than 700 daily cases. For the tenth day in a row, Pakistan recorded a coronavirus positivity rate of less than 2%, at 1.65%. The number of active cases is also on the decline, with 23,940 cases reported on Monday.
Active cases in Pakistan dipped below 25,000 for the first time in more than seven months last week, while daily coronavirus infections reached their lowest level in a year.
COVID- In Pakistan, 19 infections are on the decline, with 593 new cases reported on average each day. That’s a tenth of what it was on June 17, when the greatest day average was registered.
So far, Pakistan has given out at least 100,741,762 doses of COVID vaccination. If each person requires two doses, that would be enough to vaccinate around 23.3 percent of the country’s population.
Pakistan provided an average of 657,185 dosages every day over the last week. At that rate, administering enough dosages for another 10% of the population will take another 66 days.
