Imran Khan Inaugurated Celebrations For Rabiul Awwal

With a special message for the country’s young, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the official Rabiul Awwal celebrations on Sunday (10 October), saying that countries where the rule of law reigns supreme are bound to progress.

The prime minister remarked that societies in moral decline are unable to grow during a ‘Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Conference’ in Islamabad on Sunday.

The conference was attended by:

  • Government officials.
  • Civil society members.
  • Members of minority communities all attended the conference.
  • Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz.
  • Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.
  • Minister for Education and Professional Development Shafqat Mehmood.

The prime minister stated that he would like to send a special message to Pakistan’s young because they make up most of the country’s population.

The premier claimed that the key to their success was that they followed the true teachings of Islam based on humanitarianism. He gave instances of Islamic historical people who governed the world in the past. He claimed that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was the first individual in global history to construct Riyasat-e-Madina, a welfare state.

Imran Khan said, “For the first time in history, the state took the responsibility for the poor and the destitute, promoted and prioritized education, and made it compulsory for both men and women.”

He further stated that the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings should be instilled in Pakistani children through schools. Furthermore, he said, “There should be role models for kids to follow, and [no one could be a better role model for them than the Prophet of Islam.”

He stated that following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in letter and spirit is the only way to put Pakistan on the path to progress. Moreover, Imran Khan said, “It is my belief that the country cannot progress without following the true teachings of Islam because certain things have crept into the Pakistani society to stop it from advancing.”
