Sikandar Suhail of FC Martyred In An Operation In KP

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Sikander Sohail of Frontier Corps (FC) was killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to the military’s media wing, security personnel conducted the IBO based on reports of terrorists’ presence.

As per ISPR, “TTP terrorist commander Khawaza din alias Sher Khan got killed,” and ammunition along with weapons were also recovered from his hideout.

Captain Sikandar Sohail, 27, of Pakpattan, embraced martyrdom after an intensive exchange of fire. He belonged to 134 PMA long course and he was a coursemate of Lieutenant Khawar Shahab Shaheed, Captain Umar Shaheed, and Captain Basit Ali Shaheed.

Background

On September 20, a Tehreek-I-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander was killed in North Waziristan during an intelligence-based operation (IBO).

ISPR said, “Security Forces conducted IBO in Mir Ali North Waziristan. During the IBO, TTP terrorist commander Safiullah was killed.”

Safiullah belonged to Mir Ali and was engaged in the murder of four NGO workers in February 2021, as well as the targeted execution of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) engineers in November 2020.

In addition, the TTP leader was involved in the planning and execution of IED attacks on security troops, extortion, and ransom kidnapping.
