Security Forces Killed 10 Terrorists In South Waziristan

According to ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relation), the security forces killed 10 terrorists, including 4 commanders during an IBO (Intelligence-Based Operation) in the tribal district of South Waziristan on Tuesday (28th September).

The military’s media wing stated in a statement that the operation, in which terrorists and security personnel exchanged heavy fire, was carried out in response to reports of a terrorist concentration. The hideout was blocked off by security forces, who found firearms and a substantial amount of ammunition.

According to ISPR, these terrorists are involved in:

  • Planting IEDs.
  • Conducting fire raids.
  • Target killing of innocent civilians.

The ISPR stated that the terrorists planned to carry out more acts of terrorism inside South Waziristan, emphasizing that the Army is committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the country at all costs.

Meanwhile, in the general vicinity of Chukab, Balochistan, militants fired small weapons fire at a Frontier Corps (FC) border checkpoint from Iranian territory. Sepoy Maqbool Shah embraced Shahadat because of the fire, while another soldier was injured. The event has been reported to the relevant Iranian authorities, according to the ISPR.

On September 16, two terrorists were killed in an IBO in North Waziristan’s Razmak region.

According to ISPR, the operation was carried out after security forces received authentic allegations of the presence of terrorists in the region. Arms and ammunition were also found from the terrorists’ hideout by security forces.

On September 20, an IBO in Mir Ali tehsil, North Waziristan, killed a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The terrorist Safiullah was allegedly responsible for the murder of four ladies from a non-governmental organization (NGO) in February 2021, as well as the murder of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) engineers in November 2020. In addition, he was also involved in the execution of IED attacks on security forces as well as kidnapping for ransom.

An IBO was conducted on September 25 in the Dosali area of North Waziristan. The IBO resulted in the death of 1 terrorist.

According to the ISPR, the security forces acquired information about the terrorist hideaway and executed a successful raid. The terrorist was killed during an exchange of fire. His possessions included a large stash of explosives and firearms.
