Islamabad Police Department Launches A Self-Defense Course For Women

In recent years, Pakistan has seen a considerable increase in the number of offenses, particularly those involving sexual harassment. Women are always under constant stress, even in seemingly typical situations, since they are afraid of the invasion of personal space and physical harm.

The Islamabad Police Department is conducting a complete self-defense school for women to combat the problem. It comprises physical and weapons training, as well as an assault course, to ensure that girls are fully capable of defending themselves in potentially dangerous situations.

The course runs from October 4 through November 4 and costs Rs. 30,000. Classes will be held three times a week, from 4 to 7 p.m. The registration is currently open via an online application form.

Female instructors will provide most of the training, with male instructors likely to be involved if necessary.

Sexual harassment is becoming increasingly common these days, and it is a major source of concern for society.

The Islamabad Police Department’s new self-defense school for women is a praiseworthy effort to provide women in the twin cities with the opportunity to improve their capacity to protect themselves and to foster a resilient culture among Pakistan’s female population.
