73rd Death Anniversary of the Father of the Nation is being observed Today

The 73rd death anniversary of the Father of Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed today (September 11) who gave Muslims their own separate identity based on two national ideologies.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born in Karachi on 25th December 1876 and died on September 11, 1948, in Karachi. Jinnah founded Pakistan and after getting separated from India in 1947, became the Governor-General of Pakistan. People also refer to him as Baba-I-Quam (the father of the nation).

The Quran Khawani and Fateha were held at the mausoleum of Quaid and the Mazar was visited by people of many walks of life, laying flower wreaths and offering Fateha.

Quaid-e-Azam in his last message to his nation before death said, “The foundation of your country has been laid, now it is your duty to build it.”

History

Quaid-e-Azam chose his voice, his leadership, and his pen, to take over the powerful British Empire. He also faced a hostile majority Hindu populace determined to the marginalization, annihilation, and subjection of Muslims throughout the subcontinent. At this point, Quaid-e-Azam was a shining light during chaos and gloom.

Pakistan emerged from seemingly insurmountable difficulties. Many projected that the new nation would not be able to sustain itself, comparing it to the birth of a deformed child.

Poverty and inadequacy were overcome by brotherhood, determination, and devotion. The Quaid gave his all, so much so that his body couldn’t keep up with his soul’s magnificence and the immensity of his dedication which is why he left his Nation too soon.

When Pakistan came to being in 1947, Quaid naturally had very little time left to govern his nation, however, he made sure to lay down the direction for every Pakistani. Jinnah was an advocate of abhorring violence and achieving goals through the rule of law.

Jinnah has always promoted equality and unity. The basic tenets which our Father taught us are “Unity, Faith, and Discipline”, and Pakistan as a Nation is still struggling in adopting this mantra.

Pakistan was the rising star in the 1960s. The Great Quaid’s ideas, together with the unwavering efforts of the masses, enabled the country to be the forerunner of prosperity and advancement among the nations that had earned independence from colonialism.

Pakistan

Pakistan has been a victim of many of the social ills like terrorism, corruption, sectarianism, and much more, but now it has started working on its strengths and weaknesses. The launch of both large and small projects attests to this. For the first time, Pakistan has embarked on a goal to provide a single curriculum for all children, regardless of whether their school is Urdu/English language or a Madrassa.

On the international stage, Pakistan is once again in command, and this time for the right reasons. Today, China regards Pakistan as the most dependable and important ally in its pursuit of greater influence and prosperity in the area. The dynamics of Pakistan and its bilateral connections with its neighbors are shifting because of CPEC and OBOR.

Following the events in Afghanistan, countries such as Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and many more have expressed gratitude to Pakistan for assisting the evacuation of their residents from Kabul. Even the heads of the World Bank and the IMF praised Pakistan for its humanitarian efforts.

The best approach to honor the Father of the Nation is by working to make Pakistan a peaceful, moderate, prosperous, and developed Islamic state in accordance with his vision.

Politicians and other dignitaries paid tribute to the Father of the nation:

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister of Pakistan took to Twitter to pay tribute to the Father of the nation. He said, “on the great Quaid’s Death Anniversary, let us remember his teachings of tolerance, harmony, and justice.”

The government of Pakistan also paid tribute to the Father of Nation.

Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Law & Environment said, “May we follow the guiding principles of the great Quaid in making Pakistan great.”

Waqar Zaka said, “the future generation will rise & Pakistan will become the richest country in the world.”
