When, during the Friends Reunion of 2021, the actors confessed to having feelings for each other in the midst of shooting the first few seasons of the show, Ross and Rachel’s fans went absolutely wild with the prospect of it being true to date. It was the confession of the year, completely leaving behind the rumors of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s ‘super couple reunion of 2020.
During the Friends Reunion, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer admitted to channeling their real feelings through their on-screen shots of romance, cuddling on sets, taking naps together, but always remaining within certain boundaries because both had been in separate relationships during the time. They wondered how no one on set noticed how in love they were at the time. Now, rumors of them spending time together alone have fans questioning if the co-stars have finally recognized their potential and are getting together. Additionally, both of them are single at the moment, David having divorced ex-wife Zoe Buckman.
A source told Closer (one of U.K’s leading lifestyle sites), “After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there. They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in Los Angeles. They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing. They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favorite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.”
It seemed as if Ross and Rachel’s fans’ dreams are finally coming true; the actors really did seem to be reviving their feelings towards each other.
On the Friends Reunion, David Schwimmer had said, “I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other.”
Jennifer Aniston had added, “We channeled all our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
