Internet suspension not to affect result compilation: Chief Election Commissioner

Independent networking system for results compilation in place

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja assured that the compilation of election results would not be affected by internet outages, emphasizing the Election Commission’s use of an “exclusive and independent networking system.”

In an interview, Raja clarified, “Our operations are not dependent on the internet,” expressing confidence in the execution of the elections.

He described the electoral process as “seamless and flawless,” highlighting that it commenced on schedule.

Despite minor issues, Raja stated that the Election Commission’s teams efficiently addressed grievances in a short timeframe.

In a special message, he thanked the people of Pakistan for fulfilling their constitutional and national responsibility.

Sultan Raja extended his appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the electoral process, including federal and provincial caretaker governments, political parties, security agencies, police, civil administration, Pakistan Army, media, voters, polling staff and election members and their staff.

He expressed confidence in the responsible conduct of the returning officers and urged them to fulfill their duties diligently, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of results.
