Muhammad Zubair Denounces The Leaked Video As Fake

PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair Umar on Monday (27 September) denounced a viral video on social media as fake in which the leader can be seen with an unidentified woman

The leaked video emerged on social media on Sunday night which allegedly shows Zubair Umar getting intimate with an unidentified woman. The video is among one of the top trends of Twitter since then.

PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair in a statement on Monday said “This is no politics. In fact, a new low.”

He also added that the surfaced video is “fake and doctored.” Furthermore, he said that “Whoever is behind this has done an extremely poor and shameful act.”

Muhammad Zubair has served as the governor of Sindh during the government of PML-N which ended in 2018. As per his views, he served his country with honesty and integrity and he would always continue to raise his voice for the betterment of the country.

Gharidah Farooqi, an anchorperson, tweeted that Zubair planned to perform a forensic examination of the footage.

The PML-N leader was embroiled in yet another controversy earlier this year when claims surfaced that his daughter and son-in-law were immunized out of turn even though they were neither health workers nor elderly.

A health department official indicated at the time that the facilitator had been suspended and that an investigation would be performed.

The reports were also noted by Planning Minister Asad Umar, who is also Zubair’s brother and heads the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), which oversees Pakistan’s Covid-19 response.
