RAW involved in recent terror attacks in Balochistan, says Interior Minister

RAW behind all of them

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti Saturday accused India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), of orchestrating the recent spate of terror attacks in Balochistan.
“RAW is behind all of them,” the minister said while addressing a news conference in Quetta.
He, however, did not provide any concrete evidence in this regard.
Bugti’s statement followed a horrific suicide blast during a 12th Rabiul Awwal procession in Balochistan’s Mastung, resulting in 55 casualties, including a police officer. While no group has claimed responsibility, the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement.
In a separate incident, a bomb exploded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu, targeting a police station’s mosque, claiming five lives and injuring 12. Bugti vowed relentless pursuit of the terrorists, stating, “We will go to their dens, where they are nurtured, and we will go against them.”
He criticized past appeasement policies and emphasized a strong, uncompromising stance against terrorism.
Bugti confirmed that four footballers abducted earlier from Dera Bugti district have returned safely; efforts are underway to recover the remaining two.
The Balochistan caretaker government declared three days of mourning, and security forces are on high alert. Investigations into the recent attacks are ongoing. Stay tuned for updates as the story develops.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said it has registered a first information report (FIR) of the Mastung attack that claimed the lives of 55 people, including a police officer, yesterday.
