First Pakistani couple achieves remarkable feat by summiting 8th highest peak

Couple is parents to 2 children

Lahore-based mountaineers Ahmed Uzair and Anum Uzair have achieved a historic milestone by successfully summiting Mt. Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak, standing at a towering 8,163 meters in Nepal.
This remarkable achievement marks a significant moment in Pakistan’s mountaineering history.
It’s worth noting that earlier this month, Pakistani mountaineers Naila Kiani, Sirbaz Khan, and Shehroze Kashif also triumphantly scaled Mt. Manaslu.
The news of Ahmed and Anum Uzair’s successful summit was shared on social media by Seven Summit Treks, who congratulated the couple on their extraordinary accomplishment.
“Congratulations to Ahmed and Anum Uzair who successfully climbed the eighth highest peak, Mt. Manaslu (8163m), this morning,” the company wrote, adding, “They are the first Pakistani couple to achieve this feat.”

The Uzair couple, based in Lahore, Pakistan, are parents to two children. Ahmed is a barrister by profession, while Anum is a forensic doctor.
Under Kashif’s mentorship, they have previously conquered Minglik Sar (6,050 meters) and Hisper (5,246 meters) peaks, both located in Pakistan’s northern Gilgit-Baltistan region.
