FO spokesperson made the announcement in weekly briefing

The Foreign Office on Thursday revealed that Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar would soon travel to the United States to address the annual United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session on September 22.
The announcement was made during the weekly media briefing by spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
The 78th UNGA session, which will focus on rebuilding trust and revitalizing global solidarity, is scheduled to commence on September 19 and conclude on September 26.
Prime Minister Kakar is slated to participate in the high-level debate of the UNGA’s 78th session in New York from September 18 to 23, with his address to the UNGA slated for September 22.
During his address, Prime Minister Kakar is expected to articulate Pakistan’s perspective on various regional and global issues of concern, including the long-standing unresolved matter of Jammu and Kashmir, which remains on the UN agenda. Additionally, he will elaborate on the significant measures undertaken by his caretaker administration to bolster Pakistan’s economic recovery and efforts to attract domestic and foreign investments.
Furthermore, Kakar is set to participate in a summit on sustainable development goals and other high-level meetings organized by the UNGA. This UNGA session will provide a valuable platform for Pakistan to discuss global-level measures necessary to address pressing economic and developmental challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and climate change, said the spokesperson.
On the sidelines of the UNGA session, Prime Minister Kakar would engage in bilateral meetings with counterparts from various countries, as well as with leaders of international philanthropic organizations and corporate executives. He will also interact with the international media.
Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s strong belief in the United Nations as the most representative and inclusive forum for nation-states and noted that the Prime Minister’s participation in the General Assembly session underscores the country’s commitment to multilateralism.
