‘Fascist govt’ harasses my family says Zulfi Bukhari

His 85 years old uncle being threatened of severe consequences

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf central leader Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari on Thursday condemned harassment of his family’s women and children by the police at the behest of the “fascist government”.
“The police have repeatedly been raiding my own and our 85 years old uncle’s residence harassing him and women and children at behest of an oppressive and fascist group which is currently in power,” the former cabinet members of Imran Khan’s government said in a tweet.
The police had already put his brother Khawar Bukhari in illegal custody, he said, adding their residence was being raided continuously despite the fact that he and his cousin Yawar Bukhari were not at home.
He said the police had been continuously threatening his uncle who was staying at home along with women and children.
Bukhari passionately argued that even during times of conflict, civilized societies ensure the safety and well-being of the elderly, women, and children. However, the current rulers had completely disregarded fundamental values of culture, ethics, and personal privacy, surpassing all boundaries of decency.
He firmly believed that this era of darkness, oppression, and injustice would soon come to an end. History will forever remember those responsible for perpetrating such egregious acts, he added.
