Pakistan has a long-standing policy: not to mix sports with politics.

Lahore : Pakistan has a long-standing policy: not to mix sports with politics. The relationship between PCB and BCCI will always remain under clout due to the present regime of BJP’s anti-Pakistan stance. Any cordial meeting between the two countries will face backlash from the Indian side, forcing them to take a step backward.

The recent PCB meeting with BCCI officials in Durban was just the beginning, and the delegation-level meeting is a positive development.

It was just a courtesy meeting to start with and the invitation to visit Pakistan was extended in good faith and was well acknowledged. (Of course, they had to play it down in their media for public consumption to satisfy their anti-Pak rhetoric).

Some colleagues and former officials of PCB are trying to misrepresent by amplifying the Indian version of the Zaka/Shah meeting. It’s blown out of proportion. Those trying to play down are not sincere to Pakistan.
