Expats in S Korea & Thailand stage rallies to condemn May 9 incidents

Solidarity also expressed with Pak Army

Overseas Pakistanis residing in South Korea and Thailand organized rallies to condemn the attacks on military and civil installations that took place on May 9 and to express their support for the country’s security forces.
In the city of Pyeongtaek, South Korea, expatriates held a solidarity rally.
Representatives from the South Korea Car Association and the business community joined the event to demonstrate their solidarity with the armed forces and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by martyrs of the country for motherland.
The participants strongly condemned the incidents that occurred on May 9 and called for holding all perpetrators accountable. The Pakistan Business Association of South Korea announced that similar rallies would be held in the cities of Incheon and Daegu.
Likewise, Pakistani expatriates in Thailand organized a solidarity rally in the city of Phuket. Participants at the rally expressed their support for the Pakistan Army and its leadership.
Holding placards, they pledged to continue playing a constructive role in the development of their country and to make every effort for its political and economic stability.
The participants acknowledged the commendable role played by the Pakistan Army and other security institutions in serving the country’s interests.
These rallies are part of the ongoing protest demonstrations taking place both within Pakistan and abroad. The May 9 incidents not only angered Pakistanis within the country but also sparked outrage among Pakistanis living around the world.
