WhatsApp to introduce “linked device” feature for iPads

Focus on adding iPad compatibility as a new linked device

WhatsApp is working on a new update that will allow users to link their iPads as companion devices, according to app-tracking website WaBetaInfo.
The feature, called “iPad support, linked device,” will enable users to connect their iPads to their WhatsApp accounts on Android in a future update.
Previously, WhatsApp introduced the ability to link additional iOS devices to an existing WhatsApp account without compromising privacy and security.
The latest update suggests that WhatsApp is now focusing on adding iPad compatibility as a new linked device.
The screenshot shared by WaBetaInfo indicates that iPads will soon be able to be linked to WhatsApp accounts on Android.
WhatsApp watchers speculate that the app’s recent release of companion mode on iOS suggests that the next step is to make the app compatible with iPads.
It is expected that the app will be made available to the public in the near future.
