Imran Khan rebuts Sanaullah’s allegations of plotting a “Raid and Rape” incident

IK labeled the allegations an attempt to pre-empt and cover up potential "horror stories."

In a strong rebuttal, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has responded to Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s allegations that the party had planned a disturbing incident of “raid and rape” to defame law enforcement agencies.
Imran Khan, on Sunday, labeled the allegations an attempt to pre-empt and cover up potential “horror stories.”
The exchange unfolded after Rana Sanaullah held a late-night press conference in Faisalabad, where he claimed that intelligence agencies had intercepted a telephone conversation discussing a plan to “stage a raid and rape” at the home of a prominent PTI worker.
Sanaullah elaborated, stating, “A plan was being prepared, whereby a raid would be conducted at the home of a known PTI worker, resulting in casualties due to firing. The intention behind this was to highlight human rights violations in Pakistan.”
He further alleged that the conversation also revealed plans to carry out an actual rape and falsely implicate law enforcement agencies, with the aim of raising the issue on international media platforms.
Taking to Twitter, Sanaullah reiterated his claims, stating that the intercepted conversation had exposed “disturbing plots and planned actions, including a raid on the PTI leader’s house and a staged rape.”
He emphasized that the objective was to falsely implicate law enforcement institutions and garner international attention.

In response, Imran Khan vehemently dismissed the allegations, pointing out that the Interior Minister’s press conference itself served as evidence of mistreatment in jails. Imran Khan stated, “If there were any doubts about women being mistreated in jails, this press conference from this certified criminal should remove all such doubts.”
He accused Sanaullah of attempting to cover up and preempt potential revelations in the media regarding mistreatment and harassment of women who peacefully protest.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the allegations have brought attention to the issue of women’s rights and the treatment of political workers in Pakistan. Imran Khan’s strong response reflects the intensifying tensions between PTI and the ruling government, as both sides engage in a war of words and counter-allegations.
