‘Total fascism’: Imran Khan condemns abduction, torture of PTI’s leaders & workers

PTI leaders, workers were tortured to update their software

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday took strong exception to continuous abduction of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leaders and workers who, according to him, were tortured and tried to “update their software”.
“The way we have descended into becoming a banana republic where there is no Rule of Law and only law of the jungle, it is clear that this reign of terror is not controlled by PDM puppets but by another force that sees itself totally above the law,” he said in a series of tweets which meant to highlight political victimization against the PTI.

According to the PTI chief, the PTI leaders and workers were first abducted and then booked in sham cases in total disregard of the law and Constitution.
He said as soon as they were granted bails by the courts in one case, FIRs on other charges were lodged against them.
Terming the situation as “circus of FIRs, Imran Khan said more than 145 first information reports had so far been registered against him. “My Bani Gala caretaker, my Zaman Park cook, our social media’s Mashwani, Waqas & my security incharge Ghumman – all abducted & tortured to try & update their software,” he added.
He said his party leader Ali Amin Gandapur has been booked in another case as soon as he got bail in a sham case.
Imran Khan claimed that Gandapur was now shifted to Lahore in another case. “Despite his falling ill on the way & being taken to hospital, he was removed from hospital before he had stabilized,” he added.
He said “total fascism” prevailed in the country as the law had been shredded into pieces.
