Imposter Army Major caught smuggling huge cache of drugs

60kg hashish recovered from fake army major

The Excise Police Mardan on Sunday foiled an attempt of an imposter army major to smuggle 60kg hashish during an operation conducted in Nowshera.
According to the spokesperson of Excise Mardan, accused Iqbal Ali, who was wearing the Pakistan Army Uniform, has been caught while smuggling a huge cache of hashish.
The recovered 60 kg charas was packed in five sacks which were stuffed in his green number plate vehicle with tinted glasses.

On a tip-off, the excise police set up a picket on the road. But after finding an opportunity, the suspect ran away, the spokesperson said.
As he was speeding away, the fake major hit the excise police station’s mobile vehicle and caused a lot of damage to it.
After giving him a good chase, the excise police, at last, caught up with him near Risalpur gate and arrested him, the spokesman said.
During preliminary investigation, the imposter confessed to previously smuggling drugs to Punjab ten times.
The spokesperson said that a case has been registered against the accused on the charges of drug smuggling, inflicting damage to government property and defaming Pakistan Army.
