4 soldiers embrace martyrdom in terrorist attack along Pak-Iran border: ISPR

Necessary contacts with Iranian side being made to prevent such attack in future

The military’s media wing said on Saturday that four soldiers had embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack along the Pak-Iran border in the Jalgai sector of Balochistan’s Kech district.
“A group of Terrorists operating from Iranian side attacked a routine border patrol of Pakistani security forces operating along Pakistan-Iran Border in Jalgai Sector, District Kech,” said a news release of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
It said unfortunately, four soldiers including Naik Shair Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed were critically injured in the attack and later embraced shahadat.
The ISPR said necessary contact with Iranian side was being made for effective action against terrorists on the Iranian side and to prevent such incidents in future.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif grieved over the martyrdom of four soldiers in the terrorist attack and paid tribute to them for sacrificing their lives for the defence of motherland.
He also condoled and sympathized with the bereaved families of the martyred and prayed for the elevation of ranks of martyrs.
Sons of the nation were sacrificing their precious lives for the defence, security and protection of the motherland, he said, adding “Nation salutes the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the country.”
He said eradication of terrorism was a national agenda and with the help of Allah Almighty terrorists will be eliminated.
Interior Minister also condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyrs.
“The sons of country are sacrificing their lives for defence of their land. The whole nation salutes to them and stands united in the war against terrorism. This menace will be wiped out at all cost,” the minister tweeted.
