14th Death Anniversary Of Benazir Bhutto Is Being Observed Today

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, arrived in Larkana on Sunday (26 December) to lead the commemoration of his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

The event held for the anniversary will be addressed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the 27th of December (Monday).

Furthermore, the central executive committee has also been postponed by the Pakistan Peoples Party which is held on the anniversary of Benazir almost every year.

According to Rehman Malik, Asif Ali Zardari has become politically alert and active due to which the government has started feeling alarmed over the latest changes.

Bilawal would lead the remembrance in Larkana. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Farahtullah Babar, and others will speak to the crowd.

On Sunday, tens of thousands of PPP activists were expected to arrive in Larkana. Many people had already arrived at the Bhutto family mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bux and were taking pictures and uploading them on social media.

Remembering Benazir Bhutto

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari posted on Twitter for his late mother and said, “Remember, remember, the 27th of December.”

Bakhtawar Zardari, while replying to the tweet of Bilawal, said, “Our mother Shaheed #BenazirBhutto missed more now than I did when I got my grades for college or whilst graduating, even when I was planning my wedding, marriage ceremony, months of pregnancy- now with my newborn – she would have been a grandmother for the first time this year.”

Former President Asif Ali Zardari while commemorating the occasion of shaheed Benazir Bhutto voiced alarm over Pakistan’s “hazardous condition.”

Furthermore, he said, “today the country is going through a dangerous situation, the economy, foreign affairs, and law are all going through turmoil.”

Moreover, he expressed his displeasure at seeing the poor suffer and be denied the benefits of democracy.

Asif Ali Zardari stated that since 2013, there have been ongoing attacks on the parliament’s authority, honor, and dignity, which the PPP has resisted. He stated, “The PPP leadership has saved and rebuilt the country after disasters in the past, and they will do it again.”

The assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto

Meanwhile, PPP leader Rehman Malik has released the book Assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

The book was launched at the Institute of Research and Reforms (IRR), which Rehman chairs, on the 14th anniversary of Benazir Bhutto’s death.

Rehman said it was a myth that the PPP administration failed to probe the assassination during its five-year mandate, speaking at the book launch in Islamabad. He added that all of the culprits were identified, apprehended, and prosecuted and that the court condemned them to prison.
