Closure of schools in Lahore

The Punjab administration had decided a day earlier to close private and government schools in Lahore for three weeks due to the worsening pollution situation in the provincial capital.

Punjab Relief Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarar stated in a notification that the restriction would be in effect from November 27 to January 15. Private offices in the provincial capital would also be closed three days a week, according to the commissioner.

The letter stated that schools and offices would be closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
