Twitter is stating India as unsafe for women #Trending

Netizens of Pakistan have taken to Twitter on the very first day of the week (23 August) claiming how India is actually the country that is unsafe for women. The state of women’s rights is constantly deteriorating with four women being raped every hour in India and Delhi being declared as the rape capital of the country.

People are reporting several cases such as the rape of the patient on a ventilator struggling with COVID-19 for her life, Muslim women being auctioned on an app, 18 years old girl married to a dog as a part of a tribal ritual, an entire Kashmiri village raped by the Indian army.

There are several videos of rape and violence against women belonging to the minorities by RSS workers and the Modi government is being highly criticized for the current state.

Pakistan itself has observed a sharp increase in the cases of harassment, domestic violence, and women’s rights violations since the month of July. Some people are also arguing that the hashtag #Indiaisnotsafeforwomen is trending on Twitter in Pakistan just to bring the country’s own miserable state of women’s safety out of the spotlight.

People are seen telling Pakistani women to be grateful for how the country is treating them just because women across the border are in a worse condition.
