Punjab & KP cabinets inaugurated

Governors administer the oath

The newly elected members of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinets took their oaths on Wednesday, marking a fresh start for the both the provinces.

The swearing-in ceremonies were held with great enthusiasm and were attended by prominent political figures.

In Lahore, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman officiated the oath ceremony for the 18-member cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

The event, held at the Governor House, was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Khan, and provincial police chief Usman Anwar, among other dignitaries.

The newly sworn-in cabinet members for Punjab include Marriyum Aurangzeb, Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Shah, Muhammad Kazim Pirzada, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Zeeshan Rafique, Bilal Akbar Khan, Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Azma Zahid Bukhari, Bilal Yasin, Ramesh Sindh Arora, Khalil Tahir, Faisal Ayub, Shafay Hussain, Sher Ali Gorchani, Sohail Shoukat Butt, and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman.

Simultaneously, in KP, the provincial cabinet, comprising 15 ministers and five advisors, took their oaths administered by Governor Haji Ghulam Ali. The ceremony, held at the Governor House in Peshawar, saw the newly elected cabinet members passionately chanting slogans in support of PTI founder Imran Khan and displaying a framed photograph of the influential leader.

The ministers sworn in for KP include Arshad Ayub Khan, Shakeel Ahmad, Fazal Hakim Khan, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Aqibullah Khan, Muhammad Sajjad, Meena Khan, Fazal Shakoor, Nazir Ahmad Abbasi, Pakhtoon Yar Khan, Aftab Alam Khan Afridi, Khaleequr Rehman, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Faisal Khan Tarakai, and Muhammad Zahir Shah.

Additionally, Syed Fakhar Jehan, Muzamil Aslam, Muhammad Ali Saif, Mashal Azam, and Zahid Chanzeb have been appointed as advisers to the chief minister.
